Thank you, Suzanne, for your dedication and for being a vital part of our community program! She took time out of her busy schedule to help clean up the garden on Saturday.

As we transition into the colder months, we want to ensure our clients feel supported and cared for. We’re preparing to provide essential supply bags filled with comforting items, such as Hygiene Bags and Cold & Flu Bags.

🦋To help us stock these vital supplies, we are seeking donations of the following items: Tissues, lotion, bar soap, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, Chapstick, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, toilet paper, cough drops, sanitizing wipes, tea bags, blankets, chicken bouillon, anti-bacterial soap, paper towels, dish detergent, laundry pods, trash bags, disinfectant wipes, flashlights with batteries, whistles, ponchos, first-aid kits, water, and weather radios.

We're kicking off Monday with cooler weather, but the Redstone Arsenal Silver Chapter of the US Army Warrant Officer Association showed remarkable dedication by working through the heat on an important project.

For 20 years, they have been constructing ramps for Enable, making a significant impact in the Madison County communities.

The Enable team, in collaboration with Rotary Greater Huntsville, hosted Francesco Arezzo, the President of Rotary International for 2025-26, who visited our local warehouse and ramp location in Huntsville yesterday.

It was exciting to share insights with Francesco, who hails from Ragusa, Sicily, Italy. He has been a Rotarian for over 30 years and is the third Italian and the first Rotarian from southern Italy to serve as President of Rotary International.

Falls are one of the most common and preventable causes of injury among older adults. Enable Madison County’s Fall Prevention Program provides essential home safety modifications and education to help older adults and homebound clients live safely and independently. We offer safety checks, installation of grab bars, handrails, and non-slip items to enhance safety at home.

You can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those at risk by contributing to this essential program. We are pleased to announce that Baraka Truss has joined the Enable Madison County Board of Directors as its newest member.

Please join us in welcoming her to the team.

She is an accomplished NASA engineer and leader with more than 30 years of experience supporting the agency’s mission in engineering, software assurance, safety, quality, and organizational leadership. Since joining NASA in 2000, she has served in key technical and leadership roles, including Branch Chief, Chief Safety Officer for Software, Software Quality Lead Engineer, and Independent Audit Team Lead.

Throughout her career, Ms. Truss has been committed to technical excellence, mission assurance, and developing high-performing teams. Her leadership philosophy centers on self-awareness, communication, trust, empowerment, and vision, with a strong emphasis on developing people while achieving mission-focused results.

In recognition of her leadership and contributions to NASA in 2025, Ms. Truss was awarded the NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal. She brings to board service a unique combination of technical expertise, executive leadership, strategic thinking, and a passion for developing the next generation of leaders.

We value her dedication to serving on the board and are enthusiastic about the new ideas, energy, and leadership skills she will bring to our team.
