CAUTION: CUDDLE AT YOUR OWN RISK ⚠️🚨

Meet Joey! A professional heartbreaker, certified cuddle thief and self-proclaimed master of the puppy-dog-eye hypnosis technique. 🐶✨

Joey was one of six siblings, and when all of his brothers and sisters headed north, he decided that being heartbroken simply wasn’t for him. Instead, he seized his opportunity to have his foster mom ALL to himself. 💕 He even managed to cast a powerful spell that earned him a spot sleeping right beside her in bed. 😴🐾

But Joey’s magic doesn’t stop there! During a visit to the farm, he began practicing his hypnotic abilities on anyone brave enough to look into those soulful eyes. 👀✨ And now, Joey believes he has mastered his craft!

He’s officially trekking to Luna Farms PA to put those puppy peepers to the ultimate test and hopefully find his forever family in the North. 🏡❤️

📍 Pennsylvania adopters: Consider yourself warned. If you’re brave enough, we dare you to meet Joey and attempt to resist his spell.

But if you fall hopelessly in love…
Don’t say we didn’t warn you. 😏🐶💘

Joey is ready to work his magic. Is your heart strong enough? 🪄🐾 Apply here: https://www.lunafarmsrescue.org/animals

The power of social media to create connections never stops amazing us! ✨🐾

Sometimes a simple outing can create a ripple effect of kindness.

One of our wonderful foster moms took her Luna Farms Rescue foster puppy, Sam, along for a shopping trip to dog-friendly Sanford & Sisters in Scottsboro. Sam was welcomed with open arms by the store employees and enjoyed her time making new friends! 🐶🛍️

After meeting this delightful little pup, Sanford & Sisters followed our rescue on social media and recognized Sam in one of our posts. They reached out with a sweet comment, asking if she was the same puppy they had met and offering donations to help our rescue pups. 🥹❤️

This week, we were finally able to stop by and pick up their generous donations and we are so grateful for their kindness and support!

Thank you, Sanford & Sisters, for welcoming our foster pups, supporting our mission, and valuing our four-legged friends as much as we do. 🐾 Your generosity helps us continue saving lives and caring for dogs in need.

This is what community looks like. ❤️

When you work in rescue, one of the hardest words to say is “no” 💔

Every day, we receive desperate pleas to help dogs in need and it breaks our hearts when we simply don’t have room. But this week, everything fell into place.

Just as we received a plea for two tiny puppies, one of our incredible fosters, who has a special place in her heart for the ones needing extra TLC, had an opening. It truly felt like fate.

Meet Sydney & Shane ❤️

These precious 3-month-old puppies came to us from a community hoarding case weighing only 5 pounds each. Their little bodies tell a heartbreaking story. They’re covered in scabs and scars from being attacked by other dogs and their bellies are painfully bloated.

After veterinary X-rays, we learned the swelling wasn’t caused by illness, it was from food they hadn’t been able to digest or pass. They were so terrified of starving that they ate whatever they could find, as much as they could, whenever food was available. Now, they’re under close veterinary supervision and on a carefully managed diet while their tiny bodies begin to heal.

Sadly, Sydney and Shane are just 2 of more than 20 dogs still waiting for help on the property.

Their story is a powerful reminder of why spaying and neutering matters. It helps prevent the heartbreaking cycle of neglect and unwanted litters that leaves innocent animals suffering. Once they’re healthy enough, Sydney and Shane will be spayed and neutered so this cycle ends with them.

Please keep Sydney, Shane, and their amazing foster, Sarah Bowen, in your thoughts and prayers as they take each step toward recovery. ❤️‍🩹

If you’d like to help with their medical care, every donation, no matter the amount, goes directly toward giving these sweet puppies the healthy future they deserve.

4 Days Until Our 4th Anniversary! 🎉

As we count down to celebrating 4 incredible years of Luna Farms Rescue, we thought we’d share 4 fun facts you may not know about us! 🐾

🐶 Fun Fact 1: We don’t have a shelter or physical facility! Every dog in our care is loved in a foster home throughout Madison County and beyond. Our foster families are the heart of our rescue, and we’re always looking to grow our foster network. If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the perfect time to join us!

🐶 Fun Fact 2: We have a Luna Farms Rescue in Pennsylvania, too! If you’re in PA (or know someone who is), be sure to check out the adoptable pups on our website.

🐶 Fun Fact 3: We rescue dogs exclusively. While we originally rescued both dogs and cats, we’ve learned that focusing on dogs allows us to make the biggest impact and provide the best care possible.

🐶 Fun Fact 4: Although Luna Farms Rescue is officially turning 4 years old, our amazing volunteers bring decades of combined rescue experience to every dog we save. ❤️

✨ Bonus Fun Fact: Every new rescue gets an official “orientation meeting”… in the bathroom. 😂 Why? Because they inevitably follow us in there, and it’s the one place they’re a completely captive audience! Rescue life is never boring!

Thank you for being part of our journey these past four years. Whether you’ve adopted, fostered, volunteered, donated, or simply shared our posts, you’ve helped change countless lives. We can’t wait to celebrate with you! 🐾❤️

Luna Farms is barely four years old, but those four years have taught us something powerful.

We didn't set out to build a better rescue—we set out to build a better solution.

Years of rescue, transport, community outreach, and working with thousands of dogs gave us more than experience—they gave us understanding.

We learned that rescue saves lives. Spay and neuter prevents suffering. Community outreach removes barriers. But when they're connected through a data-driven process, they create lasting change.

By mapping where dogs enter the system, listening to the families behind those stories, and identifying the barriers they face, we've built a targeted model that's already delivering measurable results.

Now we're committed to expanding that model—bringing more resources into communities, increasing access to care, and delivering targeted spay and neuter services where they can have the greatest impact.

Because saving one dog changes a life.

Preventing the next litter changes a community.

Thank you, Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, for giving nonprofits the opportunity to share their stories and inspire community change. We're honored to be part of .

Meet June Bug 🪲

When you’ve never known kindness or what it feels like to have a full belly, every act of love is a brand new experience.

At just 5 months old, June Bug is discovering what safety, comfort and compassion feel like for the very first time. She greets each new experience with a mix of caution, curiosity and quiet gratitude. Watching her slowly learn to trust and blossom has been nothing short of incredible.

June Bug’s story didn’t begin this way.

She was one of 4 abandoned puppies reported to animal control. Tragically, by the time help arrived, only 2 puppies were still there.

When June Bug came to the shelter, she was covered in fleas and ticks, severely underweight, lethargic and vomiting pieces of cloth she had eaten simply trying to survive.

Today, thanks to the love and care she’s received, June Bug is healing. Her body is growing stronger and little by little, so is her heart. Despite everything she’s endured, she has remained incredibly gentle, loving, and resilient. Her spirit was never broken.

Now all that’s missing is the one thing she’s never had. A family to call her own.

Could you be June Bug’s first and forever family?

If you’d like to learn more about this precious girl or submit an adoption application, please apply at https://www.lunafarmsrescue.org/animals

Please share this post to help June Bug find the loving home she deserves. Every share brings her one step closer to her happily ever after. 🐾

There is nothing sweeter than seeing a happy ending come full circle.

From the very beginning, these precious puppies were surrounded by love thanks to an incredible team effort. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this possible. From the dedicated shelter staff, to their amazing foster who welcomed Velma and her newborns the very day they arrived, to our rescue partners and every family who opened their hearts and homes.

Congratulations to these little ones on finding their forever families! 🏡 And now it’s Velma’s turn to be spoiled as she gets the rest and veterinary care she deserves.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in giving this sweet family the future they deserved. Stories like this remind us what rescue is all about. ❤️

MISSION FILE: AGENT MARIO 🕵️

Status: Undercover
Assignment: Find his forever family ❤️

Agent Mario appeared out of nowhere and despite our best investigative efforts, his origins remain a mystery. One day, he was simply here. No clues. No history. Just a sweet brindle puppy ready to steal hearts.

What we do know is everything that truly matters:

🤗 Expert-level snuggler
🐶 Always happy and ready to brighten your day
🔎 Keeps a close eye on the humans he loves (which, honestly, is everyone he meets!)
🎾 Loves to run, play and have fun
🛋️ Knows when it’s time to settle down for cuddles
🏡 Housebroken and ready to move right into his forever home

Some mysteries aren’t meant to be solved, they’re meant to be loved.

Could Agent Mario’s next assignment be protecting your couch, following you around the house, and filling your life with unconditional love?

📁 Send us a message to meet Mario and help us close the case: Forever Home Found.
