If you want to adopt a bird message us. We will go through our adoption process which includes but not limited to filling out forms, a phone call, a video call, and meeting the bird. We do not allow people to meet birds at our rescue currently because it’s being ran from our home but we can meet with 1 or 2 birds you are interested in at our vet office. If you are interested in any of the birds shown in the post I will be putting more details about them in the rest of the captions. The caption will change based on what photo you’re looking at.
‼️To adopt you must be in the Huntsville Alabama area or willing to drive. We will not ship a bird.‼️

Pidgy is a pigeon we rescued from outside of vintage 72. He was being hurt by other pigeons and had a bad injury because of that. He is still getting used to humans but is doing great.
Skittles is a Harlequin macaw about 8 years old. His previous home got him from a breeder but then got to busy form him. He then got welded into his cage. He can be sweet to people but also can but also mean.
Starly is a budgie about 1-2 years old. Who previous owner passed away. Starly is a little skidish but with a little work he can be friendly
Skander is a double yellow headed Amazon. We don’t know his exact age but we know he’s at least 9 years old but we assume much older. He lived in a home by himself with no one else for 8 years. He is very sweet to some people and a little mean to others.

I’ll never forget the day the social worker called me to help these birds. There were a total of 8. The executor of the estate would only allow me to take these 5. He insisted on keeping the other three in the home. He did move them to a new room and he did provide them with new cages. It took a while to find the right home for each of these five birds, but in the end, I think they all landed in the best possible home. I think about the three I left behind all the time. The executor of the state cut ties with me once he saw the videos that I posted about the eight birds. We help so many birds just like the birds in situation we are always trying to help more birds. Our nonprofit bird rescue is currently being ran out of our family home which is limiting how many birds we can help. If you want to help us help more birds please consider donating.

Even though it was a scorcher today, we had the best time at the Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment outdoor market. We had a blast making new friends. I think I have two fav parts of doing these markets.. 1) sharing info about birds to people that have never owned birds and 2) watching the excitement on peoples faces when they hold one of our birds.
We love sharing our babies with all of you!
