We have a new Baby Lock in the shop! Meet the Serenity Four-Thread Serger.
This might be our favorite serger we’ve had yet, and these features are especially nice for making serging a little easier. The RevolutionAir Threading system takes care of threading the needles with the push of a button, while the Snap-on Needle System makes changing needles quick and completely tool-free. The Automatic Thread Delivery System also means no worrying about threading order or adjusting tensions when switching between stitch types.
There’s also Digital Speed Control, a Needle Positioning Button for more control while stitching and pivoting, and a Compact Overlock Table that opens up the option to use specialty attachments for different finishes.
And for anyone who likes to play around with their serger, the Serenity has plenty to work with — including Wave Stitch and Flatlock Wave, 2- and 3-thread flatlock stitching, 3-thread rolled hemming, adjustable stitch width and length, a Drop Feed System, and more.

There’s still room in Tuesday’s Fabric Pumpkins class at Select Sewing.
Join us Tuesday, September 29 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM for a fun fall project. These fabric pumpkins are a simple way to turn a little sewing know-how into a decoration you’ll actually want to put out.
You’ll sew in our store on our machines. Fabric, thread, scissors, and hand sewing needles are included. A little hand sewing experience is preferred, and Allison will walk you through the rest.

Teach the World to Sew Day is underway at Select Sewing in Indianapolis.
We opened a free sunglass case class for the day and it sold out almost immediately. We love that so many of you wanted to sit down and sew with us. We also know that a full room is no comfort if you were the one who could not get a seat.
