This week, Green Team stepped into botany class with Eco Logic 🌿
Our youth learned how to identify native plants, understand why they matter, and connect plant knowledge to the hands-on environmental work they do in our communities.
Native plants help support pollinators, strengthen local ecosystems, improve soil health, manage stormwater, and create healthier green spaces. When our youth learn what belongs in the landscape, they are also learning how to care for it.
Green Team isn’t just working outside. They’re building real green-collar skills, environmental knowledge, and leadership through hands-on experience.

Groundwork Indy is seeking enthusiastic, dependable interns to support our Summer 2026 youth programs!
If you enjoy working with young people, being outdoors, building community, and making a positive impact, this internship could be a great fit.
As a Youth Programming Support Intern, you'll work alongside Groundwork Indy staff and teen participants to help facilitate daily activities, support environmental projects, encourage teamwork, and contribute to a safe and engaging program environment.
