I’m just calling it like it is. Shadeland Avenue is the place to connect with nature.

Is Ryan Mears 'soft on crime?' What the numbers do and don't show 10/01/2026

You can’t seriously investigate whether a prosecutor is “soft on crime” by counting plea deals while leaving out what those plea deals actually require defendants to serve.

If you’re tired of reading about repeat offenders causing chaos on our streets and want a prosecutor who will put victims and public safety first, I hope you’ll vote for Philip Foust for prosecutor in November.

Is Ryan Mears 'soft on crime?' What the numbers do and don't show To cut through the rhetoric, IndyStar analyzed more than 220,000 cases that moved through the Marion County court system over nearly a decade.

Looking for a place to dump my daughters mattress.

I got to meet Michael Franzese today at the Indianapolis Prayer Breakfast, where he was the keynote speaker.

I’ve been following Michael for several years, and he gave a great testimony. A former Colombo crime family captain, Michael now shares his story and his journey of faith.

If you aren’t following his reviews of mob movies and shows on YouTube, you should. They’re entertaining, but he also does a great job tying them into lessons about leadership, life, and, of course, the importance of finding faith.

Great morning and a great message. 🙏

Personal note: I was star struck and I don’t remember what I said to him.

There are two ways to look at these numbers:

Some people will look at Indianapolis ranking near the bottom in public-transit use and say, “That’s because we don’t spend enough on public transportation.”

And then there are people like me who look at it and say, “Wait a minute. If the average Indianapolis-area resident boarded public transportation about four times in 2024 and traveled just 22 miles, maybe we should also be asking whether we’re spending too much.”

IndyGo’s 2026 budget appropriations totaled $432.25 million.

At some point, we have to ask whether the level of public spending matches the level of use.

It’s time to let voters decide if the IndyGo Bus tax in its current form, should be repealed.

On tonight’s episode of “What Is This City Doing?”

We discover that apparently every greenway trip generates $5 MORE in local spending.

And somehow, that adds up to $50 MILLION every year.

But wait…

Does that mean the city is counting 10 MILLION greenway trips every year?

And where did they get THAT number?

Find out… on tonight’s episode of What Is This City Doing?

I’ve never actually seen someone making graffiti in the act. Have you?

It’s funny, most of the time, we only see it after the fact. Someone has already tagged a building, wall, or sign, and we’re left wondering when it happened and who did it.

You almost never see the person actually doing it.

Knowing this city, whoever did this got a grant to do it.

It’s legit.

Need a place to dump some trash? Check out Connection Road!

Christmas trees, mattresses, furniture, apparently, you name it, you can dump it there.

How do we stop this? Indianapolis deserves better.
