Poetry in Transit is less than a fortnight away! Join us Sept. 26, 1-4 p.m. at Indiana Humanities. We’re celebrating community connection through Indianapolis’ transit infrastructure and social infrastructure. There will be:
⭐ Live poetry on an IndyGo bus from talented, local poets
⭐ The release of People We Meet on the Bus Vol. 2
⭐ Free food thanks to Second Helpings
⭐ Music with DJ BriMix on the beat
⭐ Local art vendors so you can shop small
⭐ Loudmouth Books pop-up around the corner

Sunday, Oct. 11, IndyGo will implement minor service and schedule changes to routes 5, 21, 25, 26, 30 and 82.

➡ Route 5 inbound will be realigned to save trip time and increase frequency to 60 minutes. It will no longer serve Millersville Road and Meadows Parkway but will serve Meadows Drive.

➡ Route 25 will realign with a new schedule to reflect the closure of the 16th Street Bridge that began in June 2026. Some Route 6 and 37 stops on White River Parkway will be added to Route 25.

➡ Routes 5, 21, 25, 26, 30 and 82 will undergo minor schedule adjustments to improve performance and better align with traffic conditions and rider travel patterns.

RIDER DETOUR: Due to the Aruna Run for Freedom routes 11 and 26 will detour Sept. 19, 7-11 a.m., using N. Sherman Drive, 21st St. and Massachusetts Ave. This closes stops on Brookside Parkway S. Drive and N. Rural St. See image for details.

RIDER DETOUR: Due to the ApexBenefits Monumental Kids 5K downtown, routes 16, 24 and 31 will detour Sept. 19, 8 a.m. - Noon. This closes stops on and near the course. Please track your bus closely while it's detoured. See image for details.

RIDER DETOUR: Due to a closure on Main St., Route 56 will detour from approximately Sept. 16-20 using Albany St. This will close the 2nd Ave. and 6th Ave. bus stops on Main St. See image for details.
