What a day! 🌸🧘🐾

We had a sold out crowd for Pilates, Petals, and Paws and we couldn't have asked for a better way to spend our morning. A huge thank you to our wonderful partners who made the day so special:

Foundations Studio * Indpls, IN * Pilates & Wellness Studio led an energizing Pilates class
Traders Point Creamery provided the most gorgeous setting
Willow and Star Flowers, Indianapolis Florist brought beautiful blooms for everyone to craft their own take-home bouquet

And, of course, Wanda and Wilma stole the show! By the end of the morning, they were completely exhausted from having the best time. 🥰

If you're looking for a dog who doesn’t demand much, we want you to come meet Bambi! This sweet girl was found in a field in rough shape, but thanks to some much-needed care and love, she’s been getting healthier and stronger every day. Now, this 1-year-old Chow Chow is ready for her next chapter.

Bambi is a gentle, easygoing girl who likes to take life at her own pace. She enjoys spending time with her people, but she’s also perfectly content entertaining herself or relaxing nearby. She doesn’t need to be the center of attention!

Before Shallowtail found her new home, she spent some time in a loving foster home where she worked hard to gain the weight she needed to get big, strong and ready for her next chapter. 🥹

We loved getting a little sneak peek into what life looked like for Shallowtail in foster care, and her story is a perfect reminder of just how important our foster families are!

Adoptable Randy wants to give you a heads up that IndyHumane will be closed on Wednesday, September 16th for a Staff Development Day! 🐾

We are going to be spending time with our team members and their families to simply slow down and have some fun together.

IndyHumane will reopen as usual on Thursday, September 17th. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Taki is a wonderful example of the kinds of complex medical cases IndyHumane is able to take on thanks to our incredible veterinary team and the generous support of our community.

Taki came to IndyHumane as a transfer from IACS after being found as a stray with serious injuries to his jaw. Despite everything he had been through, he was described as docile, easy to handle, and incredibly sweet.🥹

Our team knew Taki needed specialized care. He underwent a complex procedure to remove his severely damaged lower jaw, as well as reconstructive work to help create a smaller mouth opening so his tongue could stay comfortably inside his mouth.

It was a big procedure for one little pup! If you met Taki, you'd quickly realize that nothing could take away his big personality or his love for people.

We're thrilled to share that Taki got the ending every animal deserves! He was adopted into an incredibly loving home and even gained a doggy sibling!

Taki is now living his best life and his story is possible because of people like YOU. Thank you to our IndyHumane supporters who allow us to take on animals with complex medical needs and give them the opportunity to receive the care, treatment, and second chances they deserve.
