IBEW Local 481

Congratulations to Local 481 Business Manager Jeff Wheeler on his election to the IBEW International Executive Council (IEC)!

Jeff’s election comes as he and our Local 481 delegates are in San Diego for the 41st International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers International Convention. We are excited to see Jeff take on this additional role representing the Third District on the IEC.

Congratulations, Jeff, and thank you to all our delegates for representing Local 481! We look forward to the progress ahead and continuing to build a stronger future for our members and our Brotherhood!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Local 481 Family Day at Victory Field! We loved seeing so many of our members and their families come out and enjoy the day together!

Today on the 25th anniversary of 9/11 we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, including 21 members of the IBEW. May we never forget their memory.

To all the hard-working members who power our communities, we say Happy Labor Day.

This Friday, August 28, marks Keith Caulk's last day with Local 481 as he heads into retirement!

Over the past 12 years, Keith has helped countless Brothers and Sisters get out to work and has become a familiar face to so many members along the way. We are thankful for everything he has done for Local 481 and our membership, and we will definitely miss having him around the Union Hall.

If you see or talk to Keith before his last day, be sure to thank him and wish him well in retirement!

This summer, the surpassed 900,000 members, the largest the union has been in nearly 40 years. Here's what's next: https://bit.ly/4wiYWcI

Congratulations to this year's champions: Bob Cadwell, Mike Donovan, Jeff Kessler, and Jim Webb.

We have a full house tonight for the Apprentice Rights & Responsibilities Educational Session! Thank you to the Women's Committee for organizing the event and to Electrical Training Institute of Indianapolis Training Director Andre Grocox and Local 481 Business Manager Jeff Wheeler for sharing their knowledge and experience. It's great to see so many members taking advantage of this opportunity.

On this we commemorate the end of slavery and recommit to the fight for freedom for all.

Local 481 proudly marched in solidarity with our members and our community at this year's Indy Pride Parade. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers stands firm in advocating for human justice, human rights, and human security for everyone. Thank you to all who joined us!
