DO SHOES REALLY MATTER WHEN PLAYING TENNIS?
Yes — and it’s not just about comfort.
Tennis is a game of quick stops, starts, and constant side-to-side movement, so your shoes need to be designed for the way you move on the court.
👟 Tennis court shoes provide:
• Lateral support to help keep your feet stable during side-to-side movement
• Court-specific traction designed for tennis surfaces
• Enhanced stability for quick changes of direction
• Durability in the areas that take the most wear on court
Running and general athletic shoes are primarily designed for forward movement and may not provide the same type of support, stability, or traction needed for tennis.
Your shoes are part of your equipment — make sure they’re built for your game. 🎾
Stop by the IRC Pro Shop to find the right tennis shoe for your court, playing style, and fit.
