Great week! Two girls and a boy! rides

Dog food for all the dogs for one week. This doesn’t include treats or canned dog food, preventative, kennel supplies.

This rescue is a shelter not supported by a single corporation or government entity.

I buy from Wanamaker Feed and Seed. Their prices beat Amazon, plus it supports a local family-owned business.

Nicest people to buy from, hands down.

Olga and Deacon were rescued yesterday from Indianapolis Animal Care Services.

They both have skin-related issues and Deacon may need a tooth extraction.

If you’d like to continue seeing Freedom Rides and help the rescue feed and care for this spectacular breed, please use the PayPal link or Zelle email to donate $5 this Friday.

Thank you.

After being sedated, the course of action for Sabbath is to wear a carpal brace for 4 weeks and an additional 4 weeks for half a day. Dr. Mills believes the leg should be about 80% “normal”.

If after the 8 weeks it is determined that the leg is not healing correctly, amputation may be needed.

Sabbath is back at the rescue and resting.

Thank you for your well wishes and prayers.

Would appreciate some good thoughts and prayers for Sabbath this morning. He’s undergoing surgery for a fracture caused being hit by a car. He was rescued from Indianapolis Animal Care Services last week.

Depending on the recovery route, the total is not yet known. Dr. Andrew Mills and Dr. Key are performing the procedure to see if the leg can be saved. Dr. Mills believes, based on just X-rays that plates/pins is not the best route. However, he may only need to be splinted and have 90% of normal gait without amputation.

They will call me later when they determine the best route.

Sabbath is a male, GSD, approximately one year of age. 70 pounds.

Once I learn of the new estimate, I’ll share here and if any one wants to contribute towards his vet care, any help is appreciated.

Decided to let my boy, Saint, have some play time with 10 month old, Greta. She was rescued last week.

She had a blast and was excited to meet a fellow long-haired GSD.

Greta is available for adoption.

I include a link to the website and there are still people who ask how to adopt.
