What happens when an AI Agent can do more than answer the phone?
For The Pain Experts, it means new patients can call, explain what they need in their own words, provide the necessary intake information, and move through the scheduling process without waiting for the front desk to become available.
The AI Agent works within the practice’s existing scheduling workflow to help get patients where they need to go.
And the results are already measurable:
77.5% of eligible appointments booked by the AI Agent without human intervention.
That’s the idea behind Managed Patient Access: not just using conversational AI to handle the interaction, but using it to actually move the patient journey forward.

☀️ Another year of bringing a little Florida sunshine to Netfor!
Today we’re celebrating Eric Neal and 5 years of building relationships, driving growth, and making an impact as our Revenue & Relationship Director.
When he’s not helping move Netfor forward, there’s a good chance he’d rather be somewhere near a beach. 🌴
Thanks for everything you bring to Netfor, Eric!

Big step forward for Netfor’s Managed Patient Access. 👏
We’ve expanded our AI-powered patient access capabilities with direct eClinicalWorks integration, allowing our AI Agent to move beyond simply answering the phone.
It can capture patient information, understand why someone is calling, navigate the appropriate scheduling path, and complete eligible appointment bookings directly within eCW.
And when a request needs a person? The Agent knows when to hand it off with the context already collected.

Before implementing AI in your customer experience, what should you be watching out for?
It starts with knowledge management.
If the information behind your AI is outdated, conflicting, or poorly organized, the technology won’t fix the problem.

Building or buying a Conversational AI Assistant is only half the decision. The real challenge is turning the technology into a reliable part of your operation.
That requires more than selecting a platform. It takes AI-ready knowledge, clearly defined workflows, system integrations, human escalation paths, ongoing monitoring, and continuous improvement.
That is where Netfor’s experience is different. We do not just deploy AI Agents and move on. We help organizations identify the right opportunities, prepare their knowledge, launch governed AI Agents, and manage their performance long after go-live.
Our latest blog breaks down the build-versus-buy decision and explains what it really takes to make Conversational AI work in customer service, IT support, intake, routing, and other real-world operations.

This week, our Field Services team was on-site at a Panda Express location in Ohio experiencing weak network connectivity.
Our technician worked hands-on with the location’s network equipment, from the network rack to the rooftop, while coordinating with remote support to troubleshoot the cellular connection, optimize the equipment, and verify everything was communicating as expected.
Before wrapping up, the team confirmed the location was back on its primary connection and fully operational.
Another site connected. Another job complete. ✅

Patient intake is a lot more than filling out a form. It starts the moment a patient reaches out.
Scheduling. Demographics. Insurance. Referral information. Understanding why they’re calling. Getting the right information into the EHR. Getting the patient to the right next step.
When that process breaks down, the front desk feels it first, but the impact can reach the entire practice.
That’s why we think about patient intake as an operational process, not just a piece of software.
Our latest guide breaks down what patient intake management actually looks like, what practices should expect from their technology, and where Managed Patient Access fits.

Swapping a POTS line sounds simple until you're doing it across 200 locations before the carrier cuts service 📵
Netfor runs the full lifecycle of POTS Retirement.
Fragmented, self-managed migrations see failure rates as high as 50%. Structured field ex*****on with Netfor brings that under 2%.
Whether it's one site or a thousand, it's the same process, the same accountability, and one partner instead of a stack of vendors trying to hit the same deadline.

Multi-location IT support doesn't break down because you don't have enough technicians. It breaks down because a different one shows up every time, and the first twenty minutes of every visit go to relearning the site instead of fixing it.
The fix is continuity, not headcount:
- Use the same technician at the same locations, whenever possible
- No more relearning the wiring closet every visit
- Proven across tens of thousands of locations
Read how technician continuity fixes multi-location IT support:
Managing Multi-Location On-Site IT Support in 2026 Multi-location IT support breaks down from lost site familiarity, not staffing. See how technician continuity fixed it across 5,500 UPS Store locations.
What happens when AI knows it’s time to get a human involved?
One idea Netfor is testing uses a second AI model to review conversations in real time with one job: decide “yes” or “no” on whether human escalation is needed.
And if a caller asks for a human? They shouldn’t be trapped talking to AI.
🎙️ David explains the approach in Episode 2 of the podcast.
