Kimberly Reed is a self published author who lets her inner most thoughts out in her poetry, short stories and quotes. www.kimberlyreedwriter.com

There is a new author making a stand for women. Tryna’ Squeeze Into My Shoes is a book of strength, will, hope, forgiveness, family and love. Reading the entries in this book is like breaking into your best friend’s diary. After the foreword, Reed has opened up who she is as a person and why she decided to share such personal information throughout the pages of this book. Reed shows how a woman scorned can rise again and forgive the people who have tried to make her bitter toward life. She is able to show the love she has for her children and describe with minimal words how she was able to overcome those who tried to bring her down. There are six themed parts to this work--- each part with supporting poems, short stories and quotes. For instance, part one is called Let Her Be. In this segment of the book self-discovery and acceptance fill the pages. The other parts equally as personal and include entries about growing up, abuse, love and family ties. In the poem titled Sista’ Write, Reed tells her readers “Write on my sista, write on. Write through the pain, write through the happiness. It’s your write to peace. Remember you have the write to all your feelings”. It’s a very dramatic and revealing work recommended highly.
