American Structurepoint and Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC are recipients of the FTBA Best in Construction Award in the Design-Build category for the SR 66 reconstruction and resurfacing project in Hardee County. As the project’s design team, American Structurepoint helped deliver improvements across 7.8 miles of SR 66 focused on safety, mobility and pedestrian access. By reducing conflict points and encouraging lower vehicle speeds, they have been proven to reduce fatal and serious-injury crashes by approximately 80%. In celebration of National Roundabouts Week, we’re highlighting American Structurepoint’s expertise in roundabout design and implementation. Our experts have designed, reviewed, or inspected more than 500 roundabouts nationwide, leading the way in making communities safer and more efficient. One example is the State Road 44 and Kepler Road roundabout project, which has improved traffic flow and safety for pedestrians and cyclists at one of Volusia County, Florida’s busiest intersections.
