RSV season is here! 🦠💙

Our Southside Pediatrics nurses recently had the opportunity to learn more about Beyfortus® (nirsevimab) and its role in protecting infants from severe RSV disease. We were joined by an infectious disease physician from Riley for an informative presentation sponsored by the manufacturer.

RSV is a common respiratory virus, but it can be especially serious for young infants and may lead to bronchiolitis, pneumonia, hospitalization and other complications.

If you have a baby who may be eligible for Beyfortus, talk with your child’s pediatrician about whether it’s recommended and the best timing for protection during RSV season. 💙

School is back in session, which means backpacks are full, schedules are busy… and unfortunately, germs are making their rounds! 🤧

🎓 IT’S SENIOR SUNDAY!! 🎓

As your kiddos start their senior year of high school, don’t forget about the Meningococcal B (MenB) vaccine! 💉

MenB vaccination is recommended for adolescents and young adults 16–23 years old based on shared clinical decision-making, and it’s especially important to consider as your teen prepares for college and life away from home. 🏫💙

The MenB vaccine is a 2-dose series given at least 6 months apart, so now is the perfect time to get your senior started! ⏰

If your senior hasn’t received their MenB vaccine yet, let’s get them scheduled so they can complete the series before heading off on their next big adventure! ✈️🎓

Senior year goes by FAST — don’t wait to get them protected! 💙
