**THE BLACK CHURCH AND CLIMATE JUSTICE**

Last night, Climate Ambassador, Apostle Sharyn Cosby moderated an informative and inspiring evening sponsored by Green Chalice: Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). In the words of Rev. Scott Hardin-Nieri, co-Minister of Green Chalice of Disciples Home Missions:

Many thanks to everyone who joined us for the Black Church and Climate Justice Webinar— and to the speakers whose wisdom, testimony, and theology reminded us that climate justice is a black church concern, a community concern, and a spiritual concern.

Here is some of the wisdom we experienced together.

In partnership with Eden Theological Seminary, a Certificate Program designed to equip clergy and lay leaders for faithful activism, prophetic witness, and ministry engagement in this urgent moment in history will launch this year. We, the National Convocation, are excited to sponsor a select group of 10 individuals to complete 5 workshops and develop an organizing plan through the Center for Lived Faith and Organizing, founded and led by Rev. Dr. Dietra Wise Baker.
