The students brought so much creativity to their presentations. They had thoughtful ideas and were excited to keep building, adding, and sharing what they imagined.

And the adults in the room were just as engaged. They asked how they could use AI more effectively in their own lives and work, turning the session into a shared, cross-generational learning experience.

That’s what makes AI learning so powerful. Students get space to explore their ideas, and adults get the confidence to keep learning alongside them.

What’s one way you’re helping young people explore AI and creativity?

Teachers are refining student work assessments to identify key skills. The focus is on creating small, measurable goals, and leveraging MTSS frameworks to track effectiveness. This creates high-impact tutoring opportunities with smaller student groups and increased staff support, offering children a better chance during WIN times.

What happens when a student’s passion meets opportunity? A powerful lesson in entrepreneurship.

At our AI event, one student shared his passion for barbering with his fellow students. He talked about how cutting hair can become more than a skill, it can grow into a career and a way to make a living.

It was wonderful to see an event about AI spark a conversation about real-world possibilities, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Students bring valuable knowledge and interests of their own. When they share them, everyone has a chance to learn.

That’s the kind of connection that makes learning meaningful: technology opening the door to ideas, and students showing one another what’s possible.

Your Next Leader Is Already in Your Building | Building Leadership-Ready Educators 10/06/2026

Your next great school leader may already be in your building.

In this powerful EI360 interview, David Johnson speaks with Brenda A. Walker, M.Ed., Founder and Lead Consultant of Walker Equity Group, about building leadership-ready educators and creating stronger succession pipelines.

They explore how educational leaders can:

✅ Recognize leadership potential before a position opens
✅ Develop educators’ confidence, visibility, and influence
✅ Build intentional mentoring and leadership pathways
✅ Stop overlooking talented people already within the organization
✅ Create sustainable succession systems that strengthen schools

Leadership development should not begin when someone resigns. It should be part of the culture long before a vacancy occurs.

Removing barriers and meeting students where they are is key to education. By creating a neutral, supportive environment and adapting to individual needs, we can help students open up and thrive. Real learning happens when students feel seen and understood.

Educational Innovation 360 was proud to bring AI training to students from nine schools at Indiana University Kokomo!
Students explored how AI is shaping the world and learned how to use it as a tool for creativity, learning, and future opportunities. It was inspiring to see their curiosity and ideas in action.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this learning experience possible. The future of AI is stronger when students are invited to understand it, question it, and create with it.

Creating a diverse school faculty requires intentional effort from leaders. It's about strategic recruitment, fostering support, and cultivating inclusive leadership. Partnerships, mentorships, and open conversations with families are key. Every step builds a stronger, more representative school community.

Do students see themselves reflected in the teachers and leaders guiding them?

Representation can help students feel seen, valued, and connected to what’s possible. Building a more diverse teaching workforce takes intentional leadership: create mentorship opportunities, partner with universities and community organizations, and make room for educators to grow and lead.

Diversity isn’t a checkbox. It’s part of creating a school community where every student and educator can belong. K-12 principals: What’s one step your school can take this year to build a more representative teaching workforce?

Educational Innovation 360 invites you to lead the charge for inclusive excellence.

🚨 Your school may have a community disconnect, and students could be paying the price.

Teachers can have strong content knowledge and good intentions. But if educators do not understand their students’ cultures, families, neighborhoods, and lived experiences, that disconnect can affect relationships, discipline, engagement, and academic outcomes.

One-time cultural awareness training is not enough.

Schools need job-embedded coaching that helps educators:

✅ Move from awareness to daily practice
✅ Examine patterns in participation and discipline
✅ Build authentic relationships with families
✅ Connect instruction to students’ lived experiences
✅ Create classrooms where every student belongs

When educators deeply understand the communities they serve, they move from assumptions to curiosity and from deficit thinking to an asset-based perspective.

School leaders, how are you helping educators learn from the communities they serve?
