🇺🇸 We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget.

Today, the Indiana Criminal Justice Association joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the extraordinary courage of the first responders who ran toward danger when others were trying to escape.

Firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS professionals, dispatchers, military personnel, and countless others answered the call with courage and selflessness. Many made the ultimate sacrifice, and many more carried the physical and emotional effects of that day for years to come.

Their service reminds us of the strength, sacrifice, and commitment that define the first responder community.

On this day of remembrance, ICJA honors the fallen, stands with their families, and expresses our deepest gratitude to all who serve and protect our communities.

We remember September 11. We honor the heroes. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

September is Su***de Prevention Month—a time to remind one another that hope is real, help is available, and no one has to face a difficult moment alone. 💜🩵

At the Indiana Criminal Justice Association, we recognize the importance of supporting the well-being of those who serve our communities, as well as the individuals, families, and communities we serve.

A simple conversation can make a difference. Reach out. Check in. Be there. Listen.

If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. Support is available 24/7.

You matter. Your life matters. A stronger tomorrow is possible.

It was such a great surprise to see the Indiana Criminal Justice Association (ICJA) and our First Responders Ball featured in ACA’s magazine!

The Chapter in Focus feature was a beautiful read and a wonderful reflection of the work, dedication, and heart behind this event. We truly appreciate the American Correctional Association (ACA) for recognizing ICJA and helping share the importance of supporting and honoring our first responders.

Thank you, ACA, for the feature and for your continued support! 💙

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence—a milestone honoring the nation’s history, the ideals of liberty and self-government, and the many people who have shaped the United States over the past two and a half centuries.

Whether you’re spending the day with family, enjoying a cookout, watching fireworks, or simply reflecting on what the country means to you, I hope you have a safe and memorable Independence Day.

Happy Fourth of July! 🎆🇺🇸

The Supreme Court barred a former Louisiana inmate from suing prison officials who cut off his dreadlocks in violation of his Rastafari religious beliefs. Justices ruled that a federal law protecting prisoners’ religious rights does not allow money damages claims against individual officers.

Hurting helpers: The mental health toll on frontline workers and first responders 06/01/2026

Hurting helpers: The mental health toll on frontline workers and first responders LIMA — The conversation around mental health is one that used to be taboo, especially among first responders and front-line workers, but over the years, that attitude has shifted, and now it can be talked about openly.
