Consider these thoughts from Dr Sally:
"What Might Entrapment Look Like Across a Construction Career"?
The apprentice being bullied or humiliated who believes speaking up will get them run off the job.
The young worker supporting a family who cannot imagine missing a paycheck, even as substance use, depression, or relationship problems escalate.
The traveling worker exhausted and isolated but unable to see a way to change the schedule without losing income.
The worker with chronic pain or injury who fears that admitting how bad things are will end the career that supports their family.
The worker struggling with alcohol or drugs who wants treatment but believes getting help will cost them their job or reputation.
The superintendent or project manager trapped between impossible schedules, production demands, safety responsibilities, and the belief that leaders are not allowed to say, “I can’t keep doing this.”
The worker who makes a serious mistake and becomes convinced there is no coming back.
The injured worker or someone recovering from a brain injury whose body or mind can no longer do what once defined them.
The seasoned craft professional approaching retirement who cannot imagine who they are without the trade, crew, routine, and purpose that shaped their life.
