Hidden in the gorges of Southern France lies one of the most stunning decorated caves ever discovered: Chauvet, "the Sistine Chapel of Paleolithic art." For thousands of years, this geological wonder was visited only by animals. But around 37,000 years ago people arrived, and some covered its walls with drawings of exceptional beauty. Now, NOVA's cameras are there as scientists return to the cave searching for new clues about the people who came here — and what moved them to leave such haunting images.

This Week on Indiana Week In Review
For some, new Medicaid work requirements will begin in December. State officials held an information session for providers in Indianapolis, though there are still many questions unanswered, such as what the FSSA defines as "Medical Fragility”. Five IMPD officers are charged with abusing access to Flock cameras in order to track ex-partners and other individuals. A department audit was triggered when one officer self-reported their own misuse of the controversial tracking system. In response, the IMPD will now require officers to provide case numbers or other details for any searches of the database, and sign the access policy. WFYI investigates NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals, a for-profit chain facing a trail of allegations of abuse, patient death, other complains, lawsuits, and negative inspection findings. The hospital says a change in leadership fixed previously reported problems, though many complaints were filed after the 2022 leadership overhaul. Host Jill Sheridan is joined by Democrat Terri Austin, Republican Mike O'Brien, Jon Schwantes of Indiana Lawmakers, and Niki Kelly of the Indiana Capital Chronicle to debate and discuss some of this week's top stories.
