Our quarterly social activities give members a chance to relax with the company of others who share their experience. Reentry can bring challenges and upsets, and a chance to unwind with friends is a great way to recharge for the journey ahead.

Thank you to the Men’s Group of North Liberty First: A United Methodist Community of Faith, for grilling out for us at Game Night last week! We are eternally grateful for those who believe in our mission of supporting individuals as they reenter the community after incarceration. September is National Recovery Month. At Inside Out, we acknowledge and support many individuals as they navigate sobriety and reentry. Our weekly peer led support group, Coffee and Connections, is a safe space for those at all stages of recovery. Based on a famous Ted Talk by Johann Hari, our group is based off of the idea that the opposite of addiction is not sobriety, it is connection. Together, we discuss recent successes and challenges and offer support to others on their journey to sobriety.

Inside Out is beyond grateful for those who continue to believe in our mission of supporting individuals as they reenter society after incarceration. Today, we give our thanks to the Unitarian Universalist Society for their continued support over many years. From donations to allowing us to host events in their space, they've shown great kindness and generosity. Thank you, UUS!
