Your skin deserves kindness through menopause 💙

☀️ Wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily.
🧴 Moisturize with gentle, fragrance-free creams.
✨ Introduce retinoids and exfoliants slowly—they can irritate sensitive skin. Avoid retinoids during pregnancy.

Small, consistent habits matter. Care for the skin you’re in!

Menopause does not end STI risk. 🩺

Lower estrogen can make vaginal tissue thin and prone to tiny tears, which may increase vulnerability to HIV. Chlamydia is still possible, too. If you have a new partner, ask about STI testing.

Using latex condoms? Choose water or silicone based lubricant. Oils can weaken latex and make condoms break. And check whether you’re up to date on your hepatitis B vaccine. 💙

Gallstones can become more likely with age, pregnancy, obesity, rapid weight loss, and oral estrogen. If you have a history of gallstones, ask your clinician whether an estrogen patch or gel is right for you.

How to Start Yourself on a Mediterranean Diet ?

You don’t need a perfect diet—you need small choices you can repeat.

Fill your plate with colorful vegetables, beans, whole grains, fruit, fish, nuts and extra-virgin olive oil. These foods provide fiber, protein and healthy fats that can support your heart, blood sugar, cholesterol, gut health and overall well-being.

A Mediterranean-style eating pattern may also help reduce some markers of inflammation. Early research suggests it may support symptom management for some people with endometriosis, but it is not a cure or a replacement for medical treatment.

Start with one simple change today:

🥗 Add another vegetable
🫘 Include beans or lentils
🐟 Choose fish more often
🫒 Replace butter with olive oil
🌾 Try a whole grain
🥜 Snack on unsalted nuts

Your health is not changed by one meal. It is shaped by the loving choices you make again and again.

I have faith in you. Start small, stay consistent and nourish the life you want to live. 💙

Today I’m making traditional Vietnamese phở bò. As the bones simmer slowly with ginger, onion and fragrant spices, I’m reminded that a meaningful life is also built slowly—one thought, one choice and one act of kindness at a time.

🥣 Gather your ingredients with intention.
🌿 Make room for joyful thoughts.
🙏 Add gratitude every day.
💙 Speak to yourself with kindness.
⏳ Be patient with your growth.
🤝 Find purpose by serving others.
✨ Share what you have with love.

Food nourishes the body. Gratitude, meaningful relationships, kindness and service nourish the heart and mind.

You do not need a perfect life to experience joy. Begin with one kind thought, one grateful moment or one small act of service today.

Like a beautiful bowl of phở, a meaningful life is created layer by layer—and it becomes even better when shared. 💕

Who can you encourage, help or serve today?

PCOS diet

09/20/2026

PCOS/PMOS treatment is more than changing your diet.

Depending on your symptoms and goals, six evidence-based treatment approaches may include:

1️⃣ Healthy lifestyle support—including movement, sleep and sustainable nutrition
2️⃣ Birth-control pills or cyclic progesterone—to regulate bleeding and protect the uterine lining
3️⃣ Metformin—to address certain metabolic concerns and insulin resistance
4️⃣ Antiandrogen medication—for excess facial hair or acne, with reliable contraception
5️⃣ Letrozole—for first-line ovulation induction when pregnancy is desired and anovulation is the cause
6️⃣ Weight-management medication or metabolic surgery—for appropriately selected patients

Treatment should always be individualized. You may not need every option, and medication risks and benefits should be discussed with your clinician.

🥗 Food also plays an important supportive role. Focus on protein, fiber-rich carbohydrates, vegetables and healthy fats—not a restrictive “perfect” diet.

Try these 10 nourishing dishes:

Salmon vegetable bowl
Shrimp or tofu gỏi cuốn
Tofu vegetable stir-fry
Lentil vegetable soup
Grilled chicken chickpea salad
Vegetable omelet
Greek yogurt berry bowl
Overnight oats
Chicken or tofu lettuce wraps
Modified phở gà with more vegetables and fewer noodles

Food can support steadier blood sugar, metabolic health and overall well-being, but it does not replace appropriate medical treatment.

Start with one small change. I have faith in you—you can do it!

Fresh, colorful and satisfying—Vietnamese gỏi cuốn can be a wonderful addition to a healthy eating pattern. 🌿

My simple approach:

🥬 Fill generously with lettuce, cucumber, carrots and fresh herbs
🍤 Add shrimp or tofu for protein
🍜 Use a smaller portion of rice noodles
🥜 Serve with a lighter peanut-lime dipping sauce

adequate protein helps preserve muscle mass, while vegetables contribute fiber, vitamins and minerals that support overall health.

However, no single food can “balance hormones” or guarantee relief from hormonal symptoms or hot flashes, night sweats, poor sleep or other menopause symptoms. Healthy eating supports your foundation—but it does not replace individualized medical care when treatment is needed.

Can food really “balance your hormones”?

No single food can reset your hormones—but the way you eat can support your body through perimenopause and menopause.

I focus on building a balanced plate with:

✨ Protein to protect muscle and keep me satisfied
✨ Fiber to support gut health, cholesterol and blood sugar
✨ Healthy fats for heart and brain health
✨ Colorful plants for vitamins and antioxidants
✨ Calcium and vitamin D to support aging bones

Today’s plate: Vietnamese tofu in tomato sauce with cauliflower rice. Tofu provides plant protein and natural soy isoflavones, while tomatoes and cauliflower add fiber and nutrients.

You can also choose brown rice when you need more carbohydrates and sustained energy.

Food is not a replacement for appropriate menopause treatment—but it is one powerful part of caring for your health after 40.

Can sweet potato leaves “balance your hormones”?

Not by themselves—but they can be part of a healthy eating pattern that supports your body during perimenopause and menopause.

Sweet potato leaves provide:

✨ Fiber to support digestion and metabolic health
✨ Antioxidants to help protect cells
✨ Vitamins A, C and K
✨ Folate and important minerals
✨ Plant nutrients that support overall heart and bone health

I sauté mine with garlic and a little olive oil. The healthy fat also helps your body absorb fat-soluble nutrients from the leaves.

Menopause health is not about one miracle food. It is about consistently choosing more vegetables, protein, fiber, healthy fats, movement and restorative sleep.

Let food support your health—one simple meal at a time. 💚
