We're honoring National Hispanic Heritage Month, and this year the housing data gives us a lot to recognize.
According to the NAHREP 2025 State of Hispanic Homeownership Report, in 2025, Hispanic households reached a record 10.2 million homeowners across the country.
That's 441,000 more in a single year — the biggest jump in five decades.
Growth like that puts down roots, steadies blocks, and strengthens the places we all call home. Tell us how you're celebrating this month.

Honoring the Work that Moves Communities Forward
This Labor Day, we recognize the people whose skill, dedication, and hard work help communities thrive. From industry partners to local buyers and crews revitalizing homes, their efforts help create stronger neighborhoods and more pathways to homeownership.
When you invest where you grew up, the impact can extend from the property to the people who call it home.
Jermaine Morgan grew up in Columbus, Georgia, and now invests in the neighborhoods where he grew up as a local community developer.
At an Auction.com foreclosure auction, he purchased and renovated the property where Gabriel Harley now lives. But the story doesn’t end with the property.
A single mom with three daughters, Gabriel says the house feels like home. She also values having a landlord who responds quickly when something goes wrong.
For Jermaine, that connection between property and people is why the work matters. He talks about investing in Columbus to help maintain or raise neighborhood value — and about the confidence that can start with having a decent place to stay.
Watch Jermaine and Gabriel’s story.

What should you do to build confidence before bidding at a real estate auction?
Due diligence. It's the research you do before deciding whether to bid.
A few good places to start:
✔ Review the property information and available title information on the property details page.
✔ Visit the property in person to assess what you see from the outside. Never disturb occupants. Review the property details page, which states whether interior access is available.
✔ Research local zoning if you plan to use the property as a rental.
✔ Consider ordering your own title report and requesting a liability insurance quote as part of your research before bidding.
The more you learn before auction day, the more informed your buying decisions can be.
Start by browsing properties in your area on Auction.com and reviewing the details on each property page.
National auction trends can look very different from one metro to the next.
Among 99 metro areas with meaningful foreclosure auction volume, 55 posted higher sales rates than a year earlier.
Another 43 posted declines, while one was unchanged.
Improving high-volume markets included Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, and Phoenix.

More units can mean more ways to use one property.
Small multifamily properties can give buyers more than one way to think about their next real estate investment.
Duplexes, triplexes, and fourplexes offer multiple units on a single property. Some buyers may look for rental income across the units. Others may choose to live in one and rent the others, depending on their goals and the local market.
The first step is finding an opportunity that fits your plan.
Go to Auction.com, search by location, filter for multifamily, and find your opportunity.

Can’t get inside the house? You can still get a closer look.
Some auction properties may have limited interior access, especially when a home is occupied.
That doesn’t mean your research stops.
Start with what you can review safely from public areas: Look at the roofline, siding, windows, and visible foundation or grading issues.
Watch for signs of deferred maintenance, broken openings, or heavy wear.
Check public sources when available, including tax records, flood maps, zoning, permits, and recent comps.
Use the property details page as another layer of research. Available property information and auction prep guidance can help you understand what to factor in before you bid.
Search for a property on Auction.com and review the property details page before you bid.
