Ryan Chapman is the owner and CEO of Chapman Baseball Compound (CBC). He has been conducting private instruction since 2008 as a senior in high school. Chapman played baseball at Tustin High School where he received a scholarship to Cal Poly Pomona as a catcher. After Cal Poly Ryan decided to transfer to Santa Ana College to pitch in 2010. After pitching for Santa Ana for two years Ryan went on to get drafted by the New York Mets in the 33rd round of the 2013 amateur baseball draft. After two years with the Mets, Ryan decided to retire and pursue CBC full time. Since retiring from the game Ryan has been heavily involved with the Irvine Rox baseball club coaching his own 11U team and being involved with 3 others, in addition to working with over 10 players from multiple teams. Ryan has taken what he has learned over the past 15 years of baseball experience and has blended it with the multiple disciplines of: physiology, exercise science, bio-mechanics, and physics.

Three CBC remote athletes. Three postseason rosters. One standard.

Most arms wear down as the innings pile up. These three got better down the stretch, right when fatigue usually starts to show:

🔹 Mahle (since 8/7): 1.99 ERA, 54.1 IP, 48 K, 22.9% K / 4.3% BB
🔹 Nola: 2.77 ERA, 55.1 IP, 56 K, 25.2% K
🔹 Morgan: 2.55 ERA, 17.2 IP, 21 K, 25.0% K

That doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from a plan built to hold up over 162 games and beyond.

Grateful to run this alongside Ryan Aguirre, CPSS, CSCS and MANKIND PT & SPORTS MEDICINE ⚕. The best results come from the best team around the athlete.

Braves. Phillies. Padres. We’re watching every pitch. 👀

Unpopular opinion: chasing velocity without checking this number first is how you end up hurt!

C**t Peterson (Stanford) spent the summer proving you don’t have to pick between velocity and arm health, you can stack both at once.

📈 Fastball velo (season avg): 88.2 → 91.8 mph (6/4–7/3)
🚀 Max velo PR: 89.3 → 93.0 mph (6/4–7/10)
💪 Arm Score: 100.6 → 114.3 (6/4–9/11) — never dipped below 100 all year
🛡️ Strength-Velocity Ratio: 2.08 → 2.36

That last one is the number most guys never check. ArmCare’s own benchmark puts “safe” at 1.6 SVR and “elite” at 2.0+. C**t started the summer above elite and still found room to climb.

➡️❓Serious question for the pitchers and coaches following: would you rather add 5 mph or add 10 points of Arm Score first? Drop your answer below. 👇

❓Many say baseball is more mental than physical. Why do we mostly train the physical portion then?

➡️ Here’s an inside look on how we train the mental side of hitting working on the approach hitters have in the box.

came on with two runners aboard against Chesapeake and stranded them both, then kept rolling — 1.2 scoreless innings with five K’s for Somerset. Five punchouts in five outs recorded, attacking hitters with zero margin for error. Legit stuff from him on Saturday night.

kicked off his 2026 season with a strong one Sunday afternoon, going 5.2 innings against Baltimore and giving up just two hits and a run while punching out three. Efficient with his pitch count, commanding the zone, and keeping the Orioles off balance all day as Detroit pulled away. Some good momentum to start his 2026!

is rolling out of the bullpen for AA Binghamton to start the year. Through his first handful of appearances — 5.1 innings pitched, five K’s, zero runs, and a 0.75 ERA. Attacking hitters, keeping the ball on the ground, and giving his team clean frames every time out. Some good momentum to carry forward.

earned the win against Cincinnati on Saturday morning, going six innings and allowing just one earned run on two hits while striking out three. Efficient and in control — getting outs early in counts and never letting the Reds string anything together. Quality outing from Pallante against a really good lineup in a tough environment. Great work!

earned the win for Reading, going six innings against Portland and giving up just one earned run while punching out six. Attacking the zone all day and managing his pitch count. Great work navigating the lineup against the Sea Dogs over 6 innings of work. With the outing today, Adam takes his season ERA down to 2.36!
