🌊☀️ Ending the summer on a high note and a few great waves!

On September 12, Miracles for Kids' families wrapped up the Surf & Paddle Summer Camp with a special surf session filled with surfing, bodyboarding, sunshine, and plenty of fun in the ocean. Days like these give families caring for a critically-ill child an opportunity to step away from the demands of treatment schedules and hospital appointments and enjoy a day spent together as a family.

A huge thank you to Endless Sun Surf School and Waves of Impact for getting our families on their feet and surfing waves, and to National Charity League, Inc. volunteers for showing up with helping hands and big smiles throughout the day. 💙

We are also incredibly grateful to Swift Slip Dock and Pier Builders, Inc. for underwriting the program, Sun Bum for keeping everyone sun-safe with donated sunscreen, Perricone Farms for keeping everyone refreshed with juice, and Fresh Brothers for providing lunch after a day in the water.

From the instructors in the ocean to the volunteers on the sand, every contribution helped create a day where Miracles for Kids' families could connect, play, and make memories together. 🌊

💻 From curiosity to confidence: AI for Hope Workshop brings new tools to our families

Miracles for Kids' families recently explored the world of AI during a workshop created and led by Arman Khurana, son of 360 Miracle member Rishma Khurana. Students learned how to use AI responsibly and effectively while building confidence in valuable tech skills.

To keep the learning going at home, 25 Chromebooks were generously donated to participating children, giving them access to tools they can continue learning and exploring with beyond the workshop. 💙

💙 Meet 9-year-old Mariah and her family!

Mariah's cancer treatment requires chemotherapy at home and in the hospital, daily medication, and regular biopsies. To keep up with her care, Mom had to reduce her work schedule, making it difficult to manage everyday expenses.

Miracles for Kids helps families like Mariah’s by providing financial assistance, housing, and other critical resources that help ease the burden, so they can focus on what matters most - their child's life.

Miracles for Kids is excited to welcome Jennifer Schulman to the Miracles for Kids Board of Directors! Her experience and expertise will be invaluable to our mission, and we are grateful to have her join our team.

Jennifer has spent 30 years building a career in financial services and currently serves as an Executive Director and Banker at J. P. Morgan Private Bank. She partners with successful individuals and families to help them thoughtfully address the complexities of wealth, providing experienced guidance across investment management and planning needs. Jennifer connects clients to the firm’s global capabilities and offers tailored ideas and strategies for sophisticated planning needs, including custom lending, banking, philanthropic giving, and business transition planning, with careful attention to tax and estate planning considerations.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her daughters, traveling, and exploring her interests in health and wellness.
