👟 Did you know everyday skills can be taught one step at a time?

In ABA, task analysis means breaking a larger skill into smaller, teachable steps—like tying shoes, washing hands, or preparing a simple snack.
It’s an important concept future RBT®s learn when studying skill acquisition and Applied Behavior Analysis.

🧠 MYTH or FACT: If both the RBT® and family are comfortable with a personal relationship, it’s okay.
❌ MYTH.

Comfort does not remove the ethical risks of multiple relationships in ABA. Personal, social, or financial relationships can blur professional boundaries, affect objectivity, and create conflicts of interest.
For RBT®s, maintaining clear professional boundaries helps protect both the client and the technician.
