Pretty cool article just sent to me. acknowledging what I’ve been doing in the wellness field

Apparently CNN confirms what I’ve been saying for years: laughter really is medicine. The only side effect is occasionally peeing a little. After my show last night, some expressed jaw soreness. Sorry for the Bells Palsy…

Check out the new CNN article, then come get your prescription in person. I’m bringing the laughs to Sunnyvale Rooster T Feathers Comedy Club tonight, with more live comedy, Laugh Baths and performances on the way. Craigshoemaker.com for dates. Not dates, like go out, but comedy dates. Then again, in my single life, they’re basically the same thing! πŸ€ͺ

Life gets heavy. Laughing helps us carry it. Article link in bio.

Backstage, pre-show, North Ranch Country Club.

2 pictured here were on the show, 2 had laughs in the audience.

Can you name everyone in the photo, and what they are best known for?

Standing O, sold out crowd. Hoping for the same tonight Turlock Community Theatre and tomorrow Rooster T Feathers Comedy Club in Sunnyvale CA.

Craigshoemaker.com. That’s a hint for one of the four names in the photo. πŸ˜‰

Btw. Among the 900 things I do, I produced comedy shows, especially at private events or country clubs. I’m in touch with basically every Standup in the country, so your event will be top-notch.

Laughter is my sole porpoise. I hope it’s at the top of your list. Laugh on!

Flashback Friday with Mike Schmidt, Hall of Famer, Phillies legend, and arguably the greatest third baseman who ever lived. I met him years ago at a celebrity golf tournament, and he could not have been nicer. In fact, he started complimenting ME. Telling me how funny I was, how much he laughed more than any other comic.

And while I’m smiling and thanking him, inside I’m thinking, β€œOh God. Please don’t ask what I thought of YOUR work.”

Because I was a Philly kid. Which means I had the emotional maturity to boo a Hall of Famer for occasionally not being perfect. This man won MVPs, Gold Gloves, hit 548 home runs and helped bring Philadelphia a World Series, and little Craigy was sitting somewhere in the 700 Level screaming, β€œSCHMIDT! YOU STINK!” (My mom gets mad at the word suck, telling me that it’s too gauche.)

Like Mike Schmidt was going to stop, look up at the 700 level, the Goodyear blimp, scraping the top of my head, and proclaim, β€œthank you for the motivation, Craig!”

Then we became friendly, which made it even worse. Here he is heaping praise on my comedy while I’m carrying the shame of knowing I once heckled the greatest third baseman of his generation from a seat so high up I could see Delaware.

That’s Philly love..

So in honor of Schmitty, I’m stepping up to the comedy plate this weekend: Saturday in Turlock and Sunday at Rooster T. Feathers in Sunnyvale. Hopefully I hit it out of the park. But if I strike out, feel free to boo me.

I’ve had it coming since 1978…

Not usually a car guy, but this electric Porsche Taycan has been awesome for the last couple years. driving my baby one last time tonight to a gig in Redondo.

Tomorrow, I say goodbye. I’m going to give a Tesla a try. I dig the self driving thing, especially because I’m so busy with so many projects, a chronic multitasker, now I can do bicep curls in LA traffic!

When golfing with my buddy Scott at El Cab Country Club. Shirt and pants are from my usual, Tailor Byrd.

Go to the website and check it out. Amazing clothes. Most of my jackets are all from there. Swipe to see. Not expensive, and you get a discount from your boy here. Use the code β€œShoe10β€œ
