💡 Having students in your organization doesn't necessarily mean you have a strong student program.
❓️ A better question might be: How do you know it's working?
👉 We often measure the easiest things:
• How many students did we take?
• How many clinical instructors participated?
• How many placements did we offer?
Those numbers matter. But they don't tell us much about the quality or impact of the experience.
👉 What if we also asked:
• Did students feel supported and challenged appropriately?
• Did clinical instructors feel prepared and supported?
• Did students grow in confidence and clinical reasoning?
• Did the experience strengthen interest in pediatric practice?
• Would students recommend your organization to their peers?
• How many students later applied for positions?
• How many became employees—and stayed?
Strong student programs aren't simply busy.
✨ They create value for learners, educators, organizations, and ultimately the children and families they serve.
Maybe it's time to measure more than how many students come through the door.
Two days. Meaningful conversations. New ideas. A lot of learning.
Last week, KIN hosted a two-day leadership training focused on growing stronger leaders, building connections, and creating space for thoughtful conversations about leading in pediatric therapy.
We’re grateful to everyone who brought their experience, perspective, and willingness to learn to the table. The best leadership development doesn’t end when the training does - it continues in the conversations, ideas, and actions we take back to our teams.
Here’s a look at a few moments from two great days together! 💙
