Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) is a tool used during IVF to screen embryos for certain genetic or chromosomal conditions before an embryo is transferred.

PGT can help your fertility team better understand an embryo’s genetic makeup and may help guide decisions about which embryo to transfer.

There are different types of PGT, and which testing is recommended depends on your individual history and treatment plan.

Curious if PGT could be right for you? Talk with your fertility specialist to learn more!

Waiting isn't always the best strategy.

One of the biggest misconceptions Dr. Noorhasan discusses on Modern Parenthood is that seeing a fertility specialist automatically means IVF.

In reality, your first visit is about understanding your reproductive health, identifying potential barriers, and creating a plan that's right for you.

Sometimes that plan includes lifestyle changes. Sometimes medication. Sometimes IUI. Sometimes IVF.

The first step is simply getting answers.

Should you freeze your eggs? 👀

It may be worth considering freezing your eggs if you have a medical condition that could affect your fertility, are undergoing treatments like chemotherapy, or simply want to preserve your future family-building options.

Every fertility journey is unique, and the best time to learn about your options is before you need them. Understanding your fertility today can help you make informed decisions for tomorrow.

So you get the confirmation that you're pregnant… what happens next?

After going through your fertility journey, many patients wonder when they’ll transition from their fertility clinic to their OBGYN for ongoing pregnancy care.

Our team continues to support you through the early stages of pregnancy with monitoring, ultrasounds, and guidance. Around the 9 to 10 week mark, once your pregnancy is progressing well, you’ll typically “graduate” from fertility care and transition to your OBGYN for the next exciting chapter of your journey.

IVFMD Texas is honored to be part of your path to parenthood! 🤍
