Unfortunately, this is the part many people miss when they go to church: the church, Christianity, and Elohim are not the same thing.
We need to stop setting aside our common sense, discernment, and intuition the moment we walk through the church doors. Scripture warns us that wolves will come in sheep's clothing to deceive many.
Somehow, people check their brains at the door and accept everything without question. Yet Elohim never told us to stop thinking. He never instructed us to abandon wisdom, discernment, or sound judgment.
Faith and discernment were always meant to work together.
In situations like this, she should have exercised the same strength, caution, and healthy resistance that she used use with her baby daddy. If someone was willing to question, challenge, or set boundaries with a boyfriend, a spouse, a boss, or anyone else, that same discernment should not disappear simply because a person is standing behind a pulpit OR serving in a church.
To those who have been hurt, I am truly sorry for what you experienced. No one should have to endure abuse, manipulation, or betrayal in a place where they expected safety and care.
But let's also be careful not to blame Elohim for what people do, and let's not blame the Church for the failures of humanity.
Humanity will fail you anywhere in church, at work, in relationships, in business, and throughout life. The issue is not always God or the Church; often it is the reality that imperfect people make imperfect choices.
That is why our faith must be anchored in Elohim, not in people. When our trust is rooted in Him, we can love people, respect leaders, and still exercise the wisdom and discernment He has given us.
