Most people never see this part.

A heavy timber skid, built to a specific footprint, with
mounting hardware already set into it so the equipment can
bolt down to the base.

Where the weight sits matters. Two thousand pounds spread
over a pallet puts a different demand on the base than two
thousand pounds resting on four small mounting feet. The
support needs to match the way the machine carries its
weight.

This is what “it won’t fit in a standard crate” looks like once it’s on a truck.

Conveyor sections, press frames, fabricated assemblies—long shipments call for packaging built around their dimensions. Splitting a load into several crates can add handling, packaging, and coordination.

We build long. This 26-foot crate is one example of how C&K builds around the shipment.

Most shippers know the crate has to be heat treated and stamped. Fewer know the blocking and bracing inside it counts too.

Every piece of solid wood in that shipment falls under the same standard — dunnage, cleats, chocks, the scrap holding the machine still. One unstamped 2x4 inside an otherwise perfect crate is enough to get a container flagged at the destination port.

We heat treat and stamp in house, and what goes inside comes from the same certified stock. The whole build clears, not just the outside of it.
