Today is National Coaches Day! 🏆🖤🧡

Behind every student-athlete is a coach who believed in them, pushed them to do their best, and taught them lessons that go far beyond the game.

To all of our Jackson Public Schools coaches: Thank you for changing lives every single day. 🖤🧡

🍂🌱 Learning is growing at John R. Lewis Elementary! 🌱🍂

Our first graders are getting hands-on as they learn all about leaves and seeds! From observing their differences to discovering how plants grow, our Vikings are exploring the world of science one seed at a time! 🧡🖤

Hispanic Heritage Spotlight: Roberto Clemente ⚾

Today we’re highlighting Roberto Clemente, a legendary baseball player whose impact reached far beyond the field.

Born in Puerto Rico, Clemente became one of Major League Baseball’s greatest players and was the first Latin American player inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

He was known not only for his incredible talent, but also for his commitment to helping others. Clemente regularly supported humanitarian efforts and used his platform to serve communities in need.

His legacy continues to inspire generations through excellence, compassion, leadership, and service.

🧡 During Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate people like Roberto Clemente who made a lasting difference both in their profession and in the lives of others.
