Have I mentioned that I'll be vending at a craft show at the Dexter Senior Center in October?
I've got a fair amount of smalls done, and I'm in the process of making more. haven't photographed any of it (cuz that is the least rewarding and most difficult part of the whole freaking process, to be honest) or posted any of it, but I will begin soon.
I've got wind chimes and moon pieces, halloween themed cuties, I'll have some Christmas stuff done by then too. some sunbursts and butterflies and paws and resist art, LBGTQ+ and some abstract pieces just to showcase a lovely bit of glass. oh, and gnomes, gotta have gnomes. so there will be a lot, lol.
currently working on these witch boots, along with ghosts and bats and pumpkins and a couple webs.
look at this cool process. not glass related, but creativity related =)

I am almost out of the flux I love, Canfield's Solder Mate II. I learned of it from Cracked with Chevonne Ariss podcast.mit's water based and the ONLY flux have ever used that did not result in white mold somewhere.
Canfield was sold to a new owner (I feel like there was a fire too, at the production facility, but I might be confusing that with someone else) and they are slowly acquainting themselves with the production processes. they are not currently producing this particular flux. I communicated with someone and they said they have no current plans to begin producing that particular flux in the near future.
I've looked everywhere for it. I thought I had scored a gallon of it (at a truly ridiculous price, I thought) but it turned out that they didn't have it in stock and sent the rest of the order, products I only ordered to fluff out the solder. they still show it as in stock on their website, which is annoying.
I thought of eBay last night and checked there. nope. did another google search. and waaaaaaaaay down on the results page was an Etsy listing. 2 bottles, in 2 people's carts. $30 each. (normal retail was $11.95). $30!!! ugh so much $$$. I bought both of those bottles though, you know I did. lol.

Going to be doing a craft show at Dexter Senior Center on October 30th. I wish it were a week earlier, but it's not. I've been working on halloween stuff. I'll probably offer up the bulk of that to my followers here.
I've ordered a bunch of charms off temu and been pleasantly surprised at the quality. chain, too. having fun with all that.
I haven't done much glass this summer, I've been renovating bathrooms, back to back, and just didn't have the energy. it was really nice to sitting for an afternoon and draw, and then spend a couple days picking colors and applying patterns.
I'll be on here more, hyping up the event.

it's good to fuss with glass. my cat is on a tear these days, she doesn't want me at the glass table. she comes over and hollers her head off, and eventually just lays down over it all. but slowly it gets done.

I've been soothing my overburdened soul with glass work lately.
lots of little projects. wind chimes, celestial danglers, smallish sunbursts, turning some unfinished wave lamps into smaller finished panels.
I think I want to do another crafty fair. but it has to be the right one. and I have to find it.
I draw and score on the weekends, and grind through the week.
I don't have a circle cutter, I don't think, but she makes it look very very simple to cut a huge circle with one. I'm going to need to find one and try this out.

did a copper foil overlay for these zinnia petals, but did them too thin and they peeled up. I was unhappy with the look, frankly, and decided to do a wire overlay. it took forever, but that's okay. I had forever to do it. lovely snowy day, Sunday, an audiobook and a small heater at my feet.
heaven, really.
