Mikel started the PROWD program on January 9, 2026, with a clear determination to pursue a career in the commercial truck driving industry. We immediately began Adult Mentoring using Learnovation’s Job Readiness Reentry series. Through this curriculum, we covered essential topics such as time management, conflict resolution, and skill mastery.

Upon completing these sessions, Mr. Williamson was approved for career training at CRW Truck Driving School. He successfully earned his CDL on April 7, 2026, and is now working full-time with APAC as a DOT truck driver. As a wonderful bonus to his hard work, his family recently gifted him a vehicle to celebrate his progress.

From fabrication to the final package, every step matters.

As we wrap up our look inside MAGCOR Metal Fabrication at Parchman, we want to recognize the program participants who help make sure finished products are prepared, packaged, and ready for transit.

Their work may happen at the end of the production process, but it is an important part of delivering a quality product to the customer. Along the way, participants gain experience in teamwork, organization, quality control, handling materials, and meeting production expectations.

Over the past two weeks, we have shown you the people behind the designing, welding, and finishing. These photos show one more part of that process and one more example of the real-world work experience happening inside the shop every day.

When you purchase from MAGCOR, you are supporting more than a finished product. You are helping create opportunities for people to learn, work, grow, and prepare for what comes next.

Thank you for following along behind the scenes of Parchman Metal Fabrication.

“This is not just a job. This is a skill building program. These are skills you can take home to the world out there.”

When Michael Truss began working in MAGCOR Metal Fabrication, he says he knew nothing about the machine he operates today. With instruction and hands-on experience, he learned to operate it, maintain it, and now says he can take it apart and put it back together himself. He has also learned production tracking and recordkeeping as part of his daily work.

But Michael’s growth extends beyond the shop. He has earned his GED, participated in Moral Reconation Therapy and Thinking for a Change, sings in the choir, works in the kitchen on weekends, and even tends a small garden that he shares with others.

His goal when he returns home is simple: to work. He hopes to find a job in a shipyard and use the skills he has developed to build his next chapter.

“MAGCOR has helped me build skills, keep my faith strong and see that I still have something to offer.”

That is what building futures is all about.

Built to grill. Built with purpose.

MAGCOR Mini Grills are now available for $140!

Constructed from durable 12-gauge steel and finished with high-temperature black paint, these grills are made for cookouts, tailgates, camping, family gatherings, and just about any occasion.

But this purchase does more than get you a great grill.

When you buy from MAGCOR, you are helping support real-world work experience and skill development for program participants inside Mississippi correctional facilities.

So when your friends ask where you got it, you can tell them your grill did a little more than cook dinner.
It helped invest in work opportunities and better futures.
