Check out what is happening at Bolden/Moore in the month of August!

Summer Reading may be over, but the fun doesn't have to stop. We're excited about Friday Flop: Awkward Art Afternoons — a laid-back time to make bad art with random supplies and just enjoy being creative together.

Come join us on Fridays in August from 3:00-4:30pm at the Bolden/Moore Library.

Bolden/Moore Library will be closed on Friday, July 3rd for observance of Independence Day.

We will open again on Monday, July 6th at 8:00am.

Thank you to Move to Lean for coming out yesterday and spending time with the kids at the Westside Community Center.

Thank you to the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science for visiting the Bolden/Moore Branch and sharing with us about Mississippi's Wildlife. Our community loved learning about the animals that live right here in our state.

Today, MDOT brought their rollover simulation to the children at the Westside Community Center. The children saw how a vehicle reacts in a rollover and learned why seatbelts matter. Thank you to MDOT for giving our community such an eye-opening demo.

On Wednesday, June 24th, the NZO Dance Theater came to the Westside Community Center, next door to the Bolden/Moore Library, for our Storytime through Motion session for Summer Reading 2026. They used a book to act out a scene and talk about our emotions — especially anger — and the different ways we can work through it. They shared how to recognize what we're feeling and how to regulate ourselves. One of those tools was dancing it out.

We're thankful they spent time with our community and brought such an engaging lesson. Stop by the library — there's always something new to learn and experience. Next session with be on July 6th at 10:30am!
