Happy October 🎃🦌🍁🖤 my favorite month, my favorite season and like a holiday in my home. Today marks 7 years since I first started my business and what an amazing journey it has been. I've been a little MIA with the start of the semester, however, I've still been moving in the shadows and still capturing moments. Like snagging this cover of chasing light magazine, along with a three-page spread from a wedding that I captured in July 💍🥂

I will have fall sessions available starting next weekend, with limited availability due to having two weddings booked for October. I do still have two slots available for this Friday at the Brooklyn location.

Hi, All!

Small little update, I started classes back up this past week, so I had little time to work on galleries between all the orientations. We decided on a last minute up north trip for the holiday weekend, which means my Internet is absolutely awful. Monday I am capturing a wedding as a second shooter. So, with all that, I am going to try to deliver sessions next week, and hopefully be able to get some gallery previews out Monday morning before the wedding.

I have been capturing the beautiful Miss. Hailey with her family since she was a pr***en and I had the honor of capturing her senior photos. She chose the most beautiful location, did her own nails 💅🏼 (amazing job) and we got some amazing shots!

On this day, in 1939, the French government bought the patent for the Daguerreotype and gave it free to the world!

Daguerreotype is a photographic process that does not use negative, it uses a direct-positive printed on a polished metal plate. It shortened the processing time from hours to 15 to 30 minutes and made it more practical and commercially successful! Daguerreotype is considered "a mirror with a memory."

So let's celebrate this day with something special!! 🥂🎉

I am offering 6 pay what you can 10 minute sessions this Sunday in the Sunflower Field located in Jackson.

What does this mean?

It will be $15 to secure a time slot, then the day of, you pay what you can, whether it is another $1 or another $40, it's up to you.

You must be following Amanda Riker Photography, one session per couple, family, single, etc and first come first serve.
