Thank you to everyone who joined us for Tuesday’s statewide community training session. Your time, energy, and commitment to fair representation matter—and now, you are ready to make your voice heard. We'll see you at the rally!
Many Mississippians feel the state's decision to redistrict mid-decade and make taxpayers pay for the millions it will cost is a rushed, costly attempt to keep Mississippi as red as possible. Many Mississippians are not hiding the fact that it feels like a trick from an old playbook. For all Mississippians to thrive, the state must push forward, not make its residents stumble backward.

📣📣📣📣We've traveled throughout the state, and now we're back on home turf for the last meeting to discuss proposed changes to our Mississippi maps. Jacksonians and those in the surrounding areas, join us at the MS State Capitol Building on Thurs. Oct. 1, at 6 p.m., as we put our input on the legislative record.
"It’s white men making decisions over people of color,” said Suley Yepez about the current MS redistricting plan. "So to me, they’re the next Sovereignty Committee 2.0." Aren’t you tired of it?
"We've got to get tired of always allowing people to make decisions for us," Marvin Miles, Jr.
In Johnny Henry’s experience, leaders who aren’t used to working with diverse backgrounds tend to make decisions that aren’t necessarily best for the people they serve. When that happens, the community needs unity to push back against redistricting when it doesn't serve the areas it’s trying to change.
Dr. Frederick Hickman is tired of the same old thing. Words without action do not do our communities justice. Speak up in your city about Mississippi’s redistricting plans.
