Chauncy has been part of the Roto-Rooter family since January 2008! That’s 18 years of dedication, experience and helping keep our customers drains flowing. 🤯 We’re lucky to have someone with that much experience on our team!

•Favorite local restaurant: Waffle House

•One thing he thinks every homeowner should know:

He feels like a detective when it comes to drains! (And he’s really good at it!)

He watches a lot of NCIS!!

⭐️ TECHNICIAN/TEAM TUESDAY ⭐️

It’s Tuesday, so you know what that means! We’re spotlighting another member of our team and introducing you to Stephen!

Stephen joined the Roto-Rooter team on April 18, 2022 and he has become such a valuable part of our team. While Stephen is our Water Office Administrator, his role goes far beyond that. He’s also our go-to IT guy, helps with new-hire onboarding, has water mitigation technician experience and holds a wealth of knowledge that makes him an incredible resource for our entire team.

Basically, if there’s something we need to figure out, there’s a pretty good chance Stephen knows how to do it!

Here are a few things you might not know about him:

⭐️Something that might surprise you: He has a collection of plastic bananas that sit in chairs on his desk. Yes… you read that correctly. 🤣

🍽️ Favorite local restaurant: Sacred Ground BBQ

💧His homeowner tip: Know where your water meter is and, more importantly, know how to shut your water off. Knowing this before an emergency happens can save you from a much bigger mess.

🛠️ Favorite part of the job: Helping relieve some of the stress people feel when they’re dealing with a water emergency.

🎮 When he’s not working: You’ll probably find Stephen playing video games.

We’re incredibly thankful to have Stephen on our team and for all the knowledge, support and experience he brings with him. He truly is an asset to our team!

Check out these tree roots! One of our technicians recently went to a customer’s home after they reported their toilet wasn’t flushing properly. What he found? A sewer line full of tree roots.

Tree roots can find their way into small cracks or loose joints in your sewer line and grow into a serious blockage.

Coverage varies by policy and provider. Sudden or accidental water damage may be covered in certain situations, including water damage from a busted pipe, appliance failures, sewer backups and overflows. This week, we’re introducing Aden, one of our Water Mitigation Technicians!

💧Aden joined the Roto-Rooter team in April 2026, and his favorite part of the job is seeing customers pleased with his work and knowing he was able to help make a stressful situation a little better.

💧Aden’s Water Mitigation Tip:
-Proper air movement is key when drying out a property. Creating a vortex with strategically placed fans helps maximize airflow and achieve the best possible drying results.

💧What are you likely doing when you’re not at work?
-🎣 Fishing

💧What’s something customers might be surprised to learn about you?
-I’m a big Star Wars fan!

💧Favorite local restaurant?
Ichiban- so if you happen to see Aden out enjoying a meal when he’s off the clock, you know where to find him!
