In Between Sundays

Switching up mediums today and doing some art with Gelli Arts® Gel Printing . It’s been a minute since I’ve used this and looking SO FORWARD to seeing the fun color combinations!

Hey Happy National Left Handers Day to any of my South Paw peeps👈🤚🏻
I sat down at my art desk tonight, knowing I wanted/needed to get some creativity going. I had no idea what I was going to paint. Just one of those days when you have so much on your mind that you can’t think straight but still you need that creativity in that calmness and peacefulness that art gives you to give you some clarity. I opened up IG and a reel from Rachel Wiggins popped up and she was painting a storm. That was it. And I recalled that I have never attempted to paint a storm. Never. So I hopped right to it.
Perfect timing actually because it seems like so many people are going through literal and figurative storms. I saw on site that Indiana is in a state of emergency because of all of the flooding and the tornadoes that they’ve had. Lord have mercy on that state and please know that I’m praying for you all. Then there is the figurative storms and it seems like there’s so many people just going through something. Fortunately, we have a larger someone that is our refuge and our strength. He’s with us in the storms and He can calm the storms. We just need to call onto him. We’ve been through many storms and never once has He left us or forsaken us. May God’s peace be with you.
Oh, and isn’t that pull so satisfying 🤩🥰😍

I have 5 of this style ☃️

Blank Inside

I’ll be adding a slew of handmade and hand painted greeting cards. I’ll create an album to separate by the season/holiday/sentiment.
I’m also working on a little back office technology projects to help make my stand more efficient and when that’s complete I’ll reopen the stand.
If interested in the cards, for now, please just send me a message and we’ll arrange a time for pick up. My cards are $5 each or five for $20.

This summer has been quite busy! All good things, but busy. Moving our raised garden beds to a different location

New Cottage Bakery Stand

Like I said, all good things but the busyness and also dealing with my fibro started causing some health issues. I hit a wall and we have days upon days of rain coming which doesn’t help me at all. I recalled over the weekend that I can’t remember the last time I did ANY painting. So I did a wellness Sunday, Monday AND Tuesday and finally painted! Oh, how I’ve missed it! It’s just so calming and relaxing and medicine to my soul! They weren’t ANYTHING elaborate. And you don’t need to spend a ton of time or any fancy tools or materials. You could paint an object or just lines. Just get that brush wet and let it flow.
