Zoo Area Progressive Partnership ZAPP

Zoo Area was activated this past weekend!

Kurb & K*t showed up and showed out! 💚

A huge thank you to our very own Ms. Rosie and her crew of volunteers, ZAPP members Clifford and Maurice, and the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. – Delta Phi Chapter for volunteering their time and energy to help clean up the Zoo Area. And a special thank you to Kim for keeping everyone hydrated with water!

We made our way from Bobby Rush/Parkside Place down Capitol Street all the way to the Jackson Zoo entrance, picking up trash, cutting grass, cleaning curbs, and giving the corridor some much-needed attention.

The bags tell the story! 🙌🏾 This is what community looks like when people roll up their sleeves and take pride in where we live.

Some of the final pictures made the end of the photo roll but Ride down Capitol Street and check it out! We’re not finished, but today made a difference.

Clean our Kurb. Support our Zoo. Build our Community.

Kurb and K*t Clean up day will meet up at the starting point Nearby 3202 W Capitol St, Jackson, MS 39209, at the old pharmacy. Teams will depart from there to clean up the surround area!

See you there!

Another successful ZAPP meeting! 👏

It feels good to look back at the goals we set in January and see that we’re checking them off one by one. There’s still plenty of work ahead, but the progress is real.

Thank you to every member, partner, and community supporter who continues to show up, contribute ideas, and help move the work forward.

Goals set. Progress made. More to come. 💚

We had a blast accompanying The Jackson Zoo at the Mississippi Mudmonsters game. Thanks to everyone who came by our table and received information on the organization.

We want to thank everyone who supported are flamingo canvas painting raffle benefit the flamingo nursery fundraising campaign. Congrats to our raffle winner!
