JACKSON-HINDS GOES PINK! đź’—
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center is going PINK to raise awareness, celebrate survivors, honor those we have lost, and encourage our community to prioritize breast health.
Breast cancer remains one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers among women in the United States. In 2026, an estimated 321,910 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, and approximately 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer during her lifetime.
Early detection matters. Knowing your body, understanding your personal risk, talking with your healthcare provider, and getting recommended breast cancer screenings can make a difference.
Throughout October, Jackson-Hinds will stand together in PINK as we educate, encourage, and empower the communities we serve.

Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center was proud to host the 4th Annual Infant Mortality Awareness Summit through our Healthy Start Program.
This year’s theme, “Celebrating Day 366: Every Assist, Every Shot, Every Baby Counts,” brought our community together for a day centered on education, prevention, resources, support, and one shared goal: giving every baby a healthier start.
From safe sleep and car seat safety to nutrition, breastfeeding support, mental health awareness, immunizations, and community resources, every conversation matters when it comes to protecting mothers, babies, and families.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, partnered with us, and helped make this year’s summit meaningful.
Together, we can change the score for our babies.
