The Rattlesnake Conservancy is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to advance the protection of rattlesnakes, and their habitat, through research and education. To serve our mission, we participate in a wide scope of initiatives and projects including educational programs, work with landowners, scientific research, collaborations with zoos and other state and federal organizations, venomous handling training, and international grant funding. This two day course hosted in partnership with the Reptile Preservation Institute reviews and expands upon the concepts and techniques taught in Level 1 by diving deeper into classroom topics like advanced venom toxinology, captive husbandry, first aid in a captive setting, emergency preparedness, and more; with hands-on techniques in a captive setting at two different professional facilities:
***On day 1 you will be at The Rattlesnake Conservancy located inside the Tree Hill Nature Center at 7152 Lonestar Road, Jacksonville, FL 32211.
***On day 2 you will be at the Reptile Preservation Institute located at 5831 Lady Bug Lane, Melrose, FL 32666.
