One of our youth bowlers, Vincent Cintron, remains in the hunt for a Junior Gold title. He is currently 2-0 in match play in the U14B Boys division. Should he win his next 2-game match, or lose the next match but win the following two matches, he will be in the finals broadcast live (for free) on the BowlingTV channel this afternoon. Those with BowlTV subscriptions can watch match play and the finals on that app.

*** 2026 Junior Gold Qualifying Results ***
First, we want to thank everyone for supporting the First Coast USBC youth bowlers who qualified for and competed in the 2026 USBC Junior Gold Championships. This includes coaches providing guidance, pro shops preparing equipment, volunteers running qualifying events, and adults raising funds for the trip.

This week, several youth bowlers from our local association competed at centers in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area over four days, Monday through Thursday, on four different (undisclosed) sport oil patterns and at four different squad starting times: 7:00 am, 11:30 am, 4:00 pm, and 8:30 pm. After 16 games, each division has a cut (1 in 7 will advance, while roughly 1 in 3 will earn SMART scholarship funds).

Advancing to the Next Round:
We have five FCUSBC bowlers advanced to the Advancers Round today. They will bowl five games in the morning, after which the field will be cut in half. They will then bowl five more games. After those 10 games, the field will be reduced to a double-elimination, head-to-head match play format (two-game scores) until the top three bowlers advance to the TV finals. Note: for U12 divisions, it is only one Advancer round of games before match play.

Congratulations to the following advancers:
U12G Arya Rodriguez, 11th out of 122, 164.88 avg.
U14B Vincent Cintron, 8th of 388, 196.69 avg.
U16B Eli Anckner, 13th of 707, 220.25 avg.
U18B Avery Rhoden, 116th of 915, 203.81 avg.
U18B Cameron Morton, 14th of 915, 221.00 avg, including a youth 11-in-a-row honor score (298 game).

Let’s keep the positive vibes going for the advancers as they continue in the Junior Gold Championships. Live stream coverage continues on BowlTV leading up to the finals in each division tomorrow.

Let's also congratulate those who competed this week on the national stage (our apologies if any were unintentionally omitted): Katelyn Foerderer, Kaycee Martin, Javier Uzcategui, Jordan Rivera, Juan Jacobsen, Bailey Forrest, Isabella Ricketts, Joshua Hansen, Gabby Jacobsen, Autumn Bergeron, and Lily Johns.

🎳 Give Back to the Sport You Love ❤️

Bowling has given us all so much—friendships, competition, and lifelong memories. Now’s your chance to make that same impact on the next generation.

For the upcoming season, several bowling centers in our region are looking for passionate adult bowlers & volunteers to step into Youth League Director and Coach roles.

👉 Two local centers are ready to launch brand-new youth programs—but they need leaders to make it happen.
👉 Established youth leagues could really use extra helping hands, mentors, and coaches.

You don’t have to be a pro—just someone who loves the game and wants to support young bowlers as they learn, grow, and have fun. Adults in leadership or coaching roles will need to adhere to the Registered Volunteer Program (RVP) and background screenings.

💡 Why get involved?
✔ Help grow the future of bowling
✔ Share your knowledge and experience
✔ Build connections in your local bowling community
✔ Make a lasting impact on youth in our area

Whether you can lead a youth program or lend a hand as a coach, we’d love to hear from you!

📩 Send us a message to learn more about how you can get involved.

Let’s work together to keep bowling in our area strong for generations to come! 💙🎳
