Percussion in the Park is a new, immersive experience that connects you to one of the world’s oldest musical traditions. Whether you’ve never touched a drum or you’re looking to deepen your percussive foundation, this class breaks down the fundamentals of technique, rhythm patterns, and musical expression in a way that’s approachable, engaging, and fun.
This monthly class takes place on the 3rd Saturday of every month (First class August 15th) at Riverfront Music Garden from 1pm-3pm. Please register at JaxParks.com/CommunityPrograms.

The City of Jacksonville, Florida - Government is taking proactive steps to protect our community by developing a Community Wildfire Protection Plan. This initiative will evaluate wildfire risks, safeguard critical assets, and help keep homes and neighborhoods safe.

A new opportunity is coming to Jacksonville’s Riverfront Plaza. The City is accepting proposals from qualified operators for a family-friendly food and beverage concept as part of Riverfront Plaza Phase 2. A full-service space built for lunch and dinner along the St. Johns River.
We’re open to a range of concepts that meet this vision, led by an experienced operator ready to make this space a Jacksonville favorite. Watch the video for a closer look at the vision, and what this space could mean for Jacksonville’s riverfront.
