Nolan Ridge Church
The church in the middle of the woods. Founded in the early 1900s by Ellis Padgett, the church has been a long-standing part of the Long Branch community.
Located in Jennings State Forest, Nolan Ridge Church, with a rich history in the Long Branch area, welcomes the community to worship and fellowship! Deep in Jennings State Forest, Nolan Ridge Church, often referred to as the "little church in the woods," welcomes anyone seeking worship and fellowship. It was once called the “Little Red Church” and brought together families who worked in timber, turpentine, farming, and even moonshine. Even as the area has changed, the church stands as a symbol of faith and resilience. Still running on a generator, this small chapel continues to unite people and honor the legacy of those who built it over a hundred years ago.
Monday reminder: You do not have to face this week alone. Whatever this week brings, remember who walks beside you. — Isaiah 41:10
When you feel tired, He will strengthen you.
When you feel overwhelmed, He will help you.
When you don't know what comes next, He will guide you.
When you feel like you can't keep going, He will uphold you.
Start this week with faith, not fear. Give your worries to God and trust Him with what lies ahead. You have a new week ahead, and you have a mighty God beside you. 🙏

How can we pray for you? Life may bring struggles, uncertainty, and burdens that seem too great for a person to bear alone. Yet Jesus tells us that even when going through difficulties, we can have peace in Him; He has conquered the world.
No matter what situation you are in today, we are pleased to pray with you and for you.

We pay our respects to the innocent people who died on September 11, 2001, and we honor those first responders who went toward danger, the brave men and women who served, and the families who were forever affected by that day.
We shall never forget the lives that were lost, the courage that was displayed, and the families who still bear that loss.
When the world is full of uncertainty, we can grasp onto one truth that does not change: Christ is still in control.
When we are in difficulty, he is our refuge; when we are grieved, he is our comfort, and when we do not understand the things with which we have to deal, he is our hope.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1
Let us remember today the ones we have lost, offer our prayers to those who are still grieving, and place our trust in the One who supports us through every storm.
Never going to be forgotten. Always remembered. Forever held in our prayers. 🇺🇸🙏

Happy Labor Day from all of us at Nolan Ridge Church! Today, we celebrate the hard work and dedication of everyone who helps keep our families, businesses, communities, and country moving forward.
As we enjoy this day of rest, let’s remember what Jesus said: “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me... For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” — Matthew 11:28-30
Life can make us feel tired, overwhelmed, and worn out. But Jesus reminds us we don’t have to carry our burdens by ourselves. When we come to Him, we find the rest our souls really need.
From our family at Nolan Ridge Church to yours, we wish you a safe and blessed Labor Day!
Jesus loves you. ❤️ He is calling you. No matter how far you’ve wandered, how lost you feel, or how heavy life seems, He has not forgotten you.
Jesus told us about the shepherd who left the ninety-nine sheep to find the one that was lost. That one mattered. You matter too. His love is reaching out to you. His grace welcomes you. His arms are open.
If you’ve been looking for hope, peace, or a way back to God, turn to Jesus. He is calling you home. "Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost." — Luke 15:6
You are not forgotten. You are loved. Come home. ❤️ Nolan Ridge Church
