We discovered Wondermade at Disney Springs on our road trip and kept them with us in the car until we got back home to try them. 🚗 Wondermade started back in 2011 with a candy thermometer and a recipe for marshmallows given as a Christmas gift and has grown into a whole world of handcrafted, flavored marshmallows. 🍡

They make their marshmallows with real cane sugar and kosher gelatin, using a special process to create those soft and fluffy little bites with BIG flavor! With so many fun and unexpected flavors, there’s definitely something for everyone! 😋

We made a quick pit stop on our drive back home last month and packed in SO much Disney fun! 🎶🌴 Live music, lunch at Rainforest Cafe, LEGO exploring, delicious handcrafted marshmallows and FREE samples at Wondermade, decadent cookies and coffee at Gideon's Bakehouse, hot air balloon views, and somehow surviving that HOT Florida heat! 🥵😂

A wonderful day, a little Disney magic, and SO many reasons for our next visit! 🌱🌍🚗🫛📚💚✨🫶

Last Friday afternoon was such a special one! I had the honor of joining William Young and jeremyvallenauthor of the Sassafras Literary Group for an Author’s Panel at Pickens Junior High School, where we spoke with the students about storytelling and the many different paths that can lead us to finding our voice. 📝📚

I shared a little about my own journey, my experiences, my different careers, works in different forms of storytelling, and some of the lessons and knowledge I’ve learned along the way. Most of all, I hope something we shared sparked an idea, encouraged a young writer, or simply reminded a student that their story is worth telling. ✍️

Thank you for having us and for giving us the opportunity to share a little wisdom with the next generation of writers. Wishing all of the students entering the Sassafras Writing Competition the very best! We can’t wait to see where your words take you. 🌱💚✨
