⚠️ CLOSURE NOTICE

The Mendenhall Mall will close at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, due to an urgent water line repair.

We apologize for the short notice and appreciate your patience and understanding while this urgent repair is completed.

Please check back here for updates regarding reopening.

Amazon shipping to Alaska is annoying anyway. You might as well go to the mall.

But in all seriousness, when you choose to spend locally, that purchase means more than you probably realize.

It helps pay someone’s employee. It helps cover rent. It helps a business owner keep taking the risk they took when they decided to open their doors in the first place.

And for a lot of small business owners, every customer who walks in is a reminder that their community sees them, values what they’re building and wants them to stick around.

So this PFD season, spend some of it with the people who live here, work here and keep showing up.

Because when you spend local, your PFD becomes someone else’s paycheck, dream and reason to keep going.

Big Chamber event coming up, and we know what that means: half of Juneau just realized they need something to wear.

So we're pulling the special occasion dresses out early.

If you're digging through your own closet and find something you know you'll never wear again, bring it our way.

We're especially looking for next-to-new special occasion pieces, worn once, never worn, or waiting for an occasion that's clearly never coming.

Let someone else fall in love with it.

Need a dress instead? Come wander the racks and try things on, available online too if you want a head start.

The secret Back Room formal stash isn't so secret anymore. Come dig through it this weekend.
