We’re thrilled to celebrate Estela Arroyo’s first year with proHNS, and another successful year supporting one of our WFLHD projects!

Estela is our Project Engineer on the Cleetwood Trail and Marina Improvements Project in Crater Lake, OR. Outside of work, she enjoys the mental and physical challenge of sport climbing and can often be found hundreds of feet above the ground at her local State park.

As a Civil Environmental Engineer based in our Washington office, Lexi is passionate about helping solve everyday infrastructure challenges in the community where she grew up. Every construction project faces challenges. On Sunday, ours included material shortages caused by marshmallow consumption.

At Haines' Heavy Equipment Day, participants stopped by the proHNS booth to put their engineering and construction skills to the test, competing to build the tallest tower and strongest bridge using only marshmallows and toothpicks. Despite occasional supply-chain disruptions and a few structural failures, the results were impressive.

Congratulations to Elias Mason for building the Tallest Tower at 13.5 inches and Piper Carlson for building the Strongest Bridge, which held 61 pennies before finally giving way.

Thanks to the Haines Chamber of Commerce and Southeast Road Builders for sponsoring another great event.

Based on what we saw, the future of engineering and construction is in good hands.
