Out where it gets quiet.

In 1952, our grandfather, Chuck Stallings, founded Chuck’s Spraying Service with a J-3 Piper Cub and a willingness to work hard.

Over the course of his flying career, he accumulated more than 30,000 hours of flight time and built the foundation for what our family is still doing today.

In 1984, his son, Ted Stallings, bought the business from him and started Ted’s Spraying Service, which became Aero Tech in 1988. Chuck remained actively involved with the company for many years. Aviation and the business he started were a huge part of his life and something he truly loved.

Chuck passed away peacefully in his sleep at 97 years old.

It is hard to put into words the impact one person can have over the course of a lifetime. What started with Chuck and a J-3 Cub more than 70 years ago has grown into Aero Tech and Corvus and provided opportunities for generations of our family and countless others along the way.

None of what we have today would exist without what he started.

We are incredibly proud to carry on his legacy.

Rest easy, Grandpa. We’ll take it from here.

Tomorrow starts National Aviation Week. To us, this is about more than flight. It’s about impact. From crop protection to wildfire response, Air Tractor aircraft help communities thrive, protect forests, and strengthen industries worldwide.
