Max Homa explains how every golfer has a unique “power DNA” 🧬
Swing speed usually comes from three main areas:
1️⃣ Swing Length (think big arc and high leverage)
2️⃣ Spring / Elasticity (fast-twitch, high-cadence athletes like Jon Rahm or Tony Finau)
3️⃣ Rotary Pull & Ground Force (using heavy core strength and rotational force)
If your swing is built around rotation rather than a massive backswing, forcing a long turn will actually destroy your power. Work with your body type, not against it. 🏌️♂️
Stop trying to swing like everyone else 🚫
Max Homa explains that power comes from 3 different sources:
1. Backswing length 📏
2. Elastic spring / fast twitch ⚡️
3. Rotary strength & ground force 🏋️♂️
If you don’t have a huge backswing, stop forcing it. Work with your natural power source. 🏌️♂️
